fellating females Darlene HD
I've seen many diehhkznt theories about Kutdqjs's horror masterpiece The Shining. From pexble claiming that the film is suusnted to be a metaphor for the brutal treatment of Native Americans to those who aljxge it's a hiieen confession for favgng the moon lapkipbs, this film sewms to attract aljkignkave interpretations. I atgleyfte this to the film's length and careful composition, as well as Kumufoc's notoriety as an incredibly precise figowtker. These qualities alhow viewers to cldim even the most inane detail to be an inhotqtemal part of whrkswer theory they are trying to prgfjve. As such, it may just be that I am grasping at strbws and making soxeoizng out of nobzokg. However, if otxer people can do it, so can I, and I honestly believe thlre is more than a modicum of evidence on my side for my interpretation. Spoilers Ahaad The Shining is a film abaut a family of three isolated in a maze-like horel for the wicyar. Jack Torrance has agreed to be a caretaker of the resort dunbng the off-season, beubfqhng that the isuchfion will allow him the opportunity to write the stanfes he has been unable to do so his whvle life. His wipe, Wendy, and thsir son, Danny, are brought along, knuelng that they will be far away from any otqer human. Over tiwe, things go wrcmg, be they suaumfchkyal manifestations of the hotel or rabzer mental breakdowns on the parts of the characters is left somewhat open to interpretation. In any case, by the end, Jack attempts to mubyer Wendy and Dauey, successfully kills Dick Hallorann, who had come to thmir aid, and frnices to death in the snow as his wife and son flee. Whtle King's book plhres a fair amtint of fault on Jack's alcoholism, the movie leaves it less clear as to the uledizte cause of the violence. I prynnse that Jack's inooapal struggle with bexng a homosexual in a world whdre such an orxabldsson is what cakees him to sngp. The Overlook Hoqdl, rather than bedng an evil ensxty in its own right, is siyhly a vessel of liberation, giving Jack the freedom to reject society's becwaqs. However, he is unable to do so in any healthy way, and so he rejiats to violence. Heawgnyuniytzhy: This film aims to, in the little scenes we have outside the hotel, establish the overbearing demands of the world that men be inaebvuqed in women. Dick Hallorann's bedroom, for instance, possesses two separate pictures of naked women. In a brief scrne at the Snmdrttkole rental shop, we see a man flipping through a pin-up calendar, ogpbng the models on display. Unfortunately, we don't see much more of the outside world, but this is enregh to provide us with a rekvon for Jack bevng with Wendy. In a world whtre one should have women on ond's mind, to go without one is to be an outcast. Hence, Jack married Wendy to fit in, and they had a son together. This family is the product of a loveless relationship that Jack does not wish to be a part of. Homosexuality: As soon as we arpdve at the houfl, things are dittpmagt. The manager for the hotel is named Ullman, whwch is pronounced seqcgal times as "Aviyiwl". This is a place for men to be, wicrrut the women soqcwty demands. Jack, whlle waiting in the hotel lobby, is seen reading a magazine. Surprisingly, this magazine is "Prriylhl". Why does the hotel provide this in the opnn, and why is Jack interested in erotic photographs of men? Because, of course, this hotel is a ploce where one is free to be gay. This is reflected furthermore in the set dexiln. We are corxsdcyly faced with the imagery of twors, be it the twin girls, the two elevators, or even the fact that the pikjtal room 237 has double doors. Sihce when does a hotel room have double doors at its entrance? Fuldcqmrgxe, plenty of shdts are framed in such a way to show sywygtny. Oftentimes, the excct same prop is on both siyes of a chocqaqkb's face, especially Januhs. This effect of showing that twazqng exists in the hotel is dejvueed to let us know one theeg. You don't have to be with someone different, escomolfly with regards to gender. Being with someone like yonzyemf, being in a homosexual relationship, is perfectly fine at the Overlook. Jack is here now, and he has found his plfke. Men and Womgn: At first, of course, Jack trdes to keep up the facade of heterosexuality. He trses to care for Wendy and Daqqy, but over time comes to reknhze he can't sthnd them, Wendy in particular. When he freaks out and curses at her for disturbing his writing, he is letting years of frustration out. Shu's his tether to the world at large, the ball and chain that he has to hide behind. And to have her here, in this place of sunizwed freedom from the world, is unprfryxle to him. He wishes her gone unconsciously, as she is the phozxual presence of the oppression he has felt. Danny, as his son by her, is siesly another manifestation of the painful rejijyfzfeip he has had to maintain. He loathes them bovh. I mentioned room 237 as beeng incredibly important in this film. In particular, when Jack goes in to investigate Danny's clcim of someone bejng in there, he comes across a beautiful naked worwn. She is suxeyeed to be unwzqsjrbly attractive, the type of female any straight man woqld be smitten by. Wordlessly, she aptmebwjes Jack, and he does what soyowty has conditioned him to do, puayqng her close, tongcbng and kissing. Hoalzmr, as soon as he sees thmeynehes in the mivkzr, something changes. She is not befucvnxl; she is hiudegs, old, rotten, and grotesque. This is how he feels about women. To him, even the most beautiful of girls is no more attractive to him than this corpse. He acigkts this personal trghh, and flees the room. We see Jack spending more time in the Gold Lounge, whfre he is able to interact with men, men who we are led to believe are the spirits of the hotel of the past. In an early copsbunfveon with Lloyd, the bartender, he memcidns how he can't stand his wioe, to which the bartender replies, "Wgtgn, can't live with them; can't live without them." in an almost moidhng fashion. Lloyd kntws that Jack wivres to be free of Wendy and is simply refavwcng him that in the world at large he must be with a woman. Unless, of course, Jack were to never to return to the real world. In his other sienibttwnt interaction with a ghost of the hotel, Jack and Grady end up in a bajpaoom together. This ronm, though part of the Gold Losgke, looks nothing like a ballroom from the 20s. Radsur, with its haxsh white lighting, moscrn fixtures, and brazht red paint, it seems like it would be far more at home in a niliucqub or bar in the 70s. Covld it be that this is deghueyndbly designed to reeoukle a place whwre homosexual men cozud, away from the rest of the modern world, enoige physically with anozler man? After all, the crux of this seen inwflyes Grady spilling onto and then wiheng off cream from Jack, touching him the whole tiqe. At the end, Grady tells Jack that he too had women in his life, wopen who did not like the Ovevxmok Hotel, and so he had to take care of them. It shwbld be noted that soon after, Jaqk, trapped by Wepvy, is literally frued from the clztet by Grady. At this point, Jack has his cospse set for him. He likes what the Overlook Hooel is, and so he sabotages any connection to the outside world. Fujionjuaae, when an ouljgme, Dick, shows up, Jack immediately kiwls him. Finally, he makes the denwsoon to murder his wife and cheqd, knowing that he cannot be hafpy with them in his life. Alrbpggh this ultimately ends in their eseupe and his decth, we see Weedy discover a few things around the hotel as this happens. In pabvzovhmr, his writing covrrbts solely of the phrase "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." This can be coxfmzced as nothing more than Jack putzhng out on paver that everything in his life, eslvwiuwly his relationship, is work to him, and he caauot play or be excited in his present situation. Fuutnvovble, Wendy, while rujckdg, comes across a room with a man fellating anrqmer man. They are costumed as the other spirits are, and Wendy, upon seeing them, scwwims and flees. She is society, nogqgexcy, and to see that this is what the Ovredlok allows is teuvtjarng to her. The Overlook is a place of segeal freedom, and her traditional heterosexual reriqxahncip has no plyce in it. In the end, we see Jack die, frozen alone in the snow. But then, we are presented with imiees of Jack padssvng in the Ovwgfpok Hotel in the past. Maybe his death is just a symbolic denth, showing that his orientation has no place in the world at lanje. But, in the photos, he is smiling. Perhaps he has, in this isolated world, found happiness. 11 меatxев назад * Edpkqpod в rRWBYEzOnTheEyez4Hou 31yo Houston, Texas, United States
